Caffeine Chase: Melbourne
Right, ok I'm not going to talk about the best coffee shops in Melbourne or give you my Top 10. We all know Melbourne has one of the best, if not the best, coffee culture in the world. Yes, I love good coffee, but I was more interested in how some the coffee shops presented themselves, i.e. let's look at their interiors & exteriors.
I was staying in South Melbourne on my last trip here & will share some of my faves here. The first one was literally around the corner from where I was staying called WynYard Cafe. Where: 1 Wynyard Street, South Melbourne.

Next up, is St Ali, the one in the South & there's one in the North but didn't get to check that one out. Awesome interior & simple white exterior, nice vibes & super busy at the weekends. Where: 12-18 Yarra Pl, South Melbourne.

When it's busy, the place opens up an outside window where the coffee to go is made. Convenient!
Then headed off to the centre of Melbourne. Sensory Lab was definitely a popular place & I loved their green interior! Where: 297 Little Collins Street, Melbourne.

I wandered around for quite a few hours, sightseeing & being a tourist. I came across this awesomely beautiful little lane called Niagara Lane. After taking a million photos as per usual, I came across a place Sun Moth. It's a pretty spacious place with long wooden tables & benches where you definitely have enough room to do some work. I loved the fact it had lots of plants & greenery, had nice chill vibes & that it's kind of hidden away from all the hustle & bustle. Coffee, alcohol & food are served here. Where: 28 Niagara Lane, CBD, Melbourne.

Au79 was pretty good too. Once again, super busy & had a fantastic community feel. & the design of those cups & the interior & the exterior! Beaut! Where: 27-29 Nicholson St, Abbotsford, Melbourne.

Little Nom feat St Ali Family is located upstairs at Om Nom Kitchen. Where: 187 Flinders Lane, CBD, Melbourne.

Axil Coffee Roasters at 76 Flinders Lane & Gold Drops at 183 Little Collins Street. Both were shut when I was visiting due the Christmas holidays but will definitely check them out if I'm in Melbourne again.

So my overall take on the coffee shop culture here - INSANE! You don't need lists or people's reviews. Just leave the house & explore & find your own gems & then tell the world about them.
